A Message from the President

November 11, 2015

Alan Garfinkel - CAI Board MemberDear fellow CAI Members,

Please accept my heartfelt thank you for diligently working on behalf of our local community association industry.

Our Chapter’s committed volunteers continue to bring passion, energy, dedication and love, establishing our Central Florida Chapter as one of the best in the entire country.

Your Board of Directors this year was truly exceptional. Suzan Kearns (President-Elect), John Dougherty (Vice President), Bill Jackson (Treasurer), Gina Holbrook (Secretary), Paul Melville, Lou Biron, Brian Peck, Diane Rullo, Jamie Rodriguez, and Matt Vice. This remarkable group of volunteers stepped up way beyond the call of duty, and I am so fortunate to have worked with the very best CAI Board of Directors. Period.

We’ve accomplished so much together. The new Educational Assistance Plan, increased networking events, a surge in Membership growth, never seen before influx of new faces in Committee involvement, continued charitable commitment, and the upcoming Winter Gala. Alternating venues for the monthly meetings adds fresh locations and convenience and alternating breakfast and lunch meetings allow different folks to attend and participate who otherwise could not.

What tremendous strides we made together with the 2015 Trade Show – great décor, live music, ever improving attendee recognition based on lanyard color and the most attendees ever.

To top it off, our Trade Show made a profit for our Chapter, not a dime was lost. This was possible due to the increase in participation from all existing members, the addition of new members, and the incredible dedication of our Trade Show Chairpersons and the Trade Show Committee.

I want to thank the entire Central Florida Membership for allowing me to serve as President this year and helping us together accomplish all of the goals we set at the beginning of the year; increasing our networking opportunities, providing world class education, recognizing existing members and sponsors, welcoming new committee participation with open arms, and finally, establishing programs to increase our membership. It’s safe to say, we as a team achieved great success. Mission accomplished!

You are specially invited to join us in celebrating this past year of success and fun at our upcoming First Annual Winter Gala taking place on Thursday, December 10th at 6:00 p.m. at the Westin Lake Mary. This high-end event is the perfect way to wrap up our excellent year. From the Medallion Sponsor VIP Cocktail Reception at the beginning of the evening, followed by the 2016 Rollout, to the Year In Review Awards, and a personally meaningful Silent Auction. You will absolutely be delighted with an unforgettable experience. We will be making new friends, celebrating old ones, all while bringing in the New Year. If you are interested in assisting or becoming a sponsor for this fabulous event, please contact Gina Holbrook at gina.holbrook@premiermgmtcfl.com. Tickets are available now! Click here.

If you intend to be a sponsor for the Chapter in 2016, please visit the CAICF website to sign up as soon as you can. They are going fast! Please note preference is given to Medallion Sponsors when selecting a booth for the 2016 CAI Trade Show taking place on Thursday, March 10th at the Hilton Orlando.

Please consider becoming a Medallion Sponsor. The benefits are very worthwhile. Check it out for yourself.

Communication is vital in keeping our Chapter remarkable. We want you to participate. If you have any thoughts, ideas, comments or concerns, please contact any one of our amazing Board of Directors. We welcome the opportunity to hear from you… and here is a thought, maybe you can share your favorite moment from this year with our Chapter or express gratitude for another member. We are always looking for something or someone to recognize.

Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful, healthy and happy Thanksgiving!

Appreciatively,

Alan Garfinkel
